About

I am a PhD student in the NLP CDT at the University of Edinburgh. My supervisors are Professor Kartic Subr and Professor Mirella Lapata.

Within the NLP CDT of the University of Edinburgh I work on integrating generative AI, particularly large language models, into computer graphics systems to generate content, interact with users, and perform reasoning/actions in 3D space.

Current Projects

I am currently working on extending my previous paper (SimLM) to enable LLMs to reason about and perform tasks in 3D space, and in particular to play the game of pool through simulation. Pool is an ideal task that involves deterministic physics events, high level reasoning, and low level quasi intuition based ability. I am developing an evaluation suite in order to rank LLM performance at simple (and eventually more complex) pool tasks and have begun gathering results for a future leaderboard and paper using this metric.

The first ever LLM pool break!
